Statistics are a crucial instrument for CITA Members and supervisory bodies to evaluate the roadworthiness conditions of in-service vehicles.
The currently published statistics mainly involve two kinds of technical roadworthiness inspections for in-service vehicles:
- Periodical Technical Inspections
- Roadside Inspections
On this site you will first find statistics analysing the general, overall trends in the EU followed by a detailed overview per individual country and organization. This consists of reports and links to statistical information obtained from CITA Members and Stakeholders. In some countries statistical data on inspections is publicly available.
This section is continuously updated and local contact details are mentioned where available. CITA encourages you to inform the CITA Secretariat of any additional useful statistical information or activities for publication on this website.
