At the CITA 13th General Assembly held in Porto, Portugal on 6 May 2008 two new Recommendations and one updated CITA Recommendation were approved and are now officially available for consultation and use by CITA Members.

• CITA Recommendation 5, Revision 1 on “Inspection of L- Category Vehicles

• CITA Recommendation 15 on “European Database for PTI Purposes”

• CITA Recommendation 17 on “Role of Supervisory Bodies for Vehicle Inspection Operators under CITA R9B”

CITA 2008 International Conference – Presentations and Outcomes

CITA (International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee) held its 13th International Conference from 6 to 8 May 2008 in PORTO (Portugal).

The event was hosted by ANCIA (Associação Nacional de Centros de Inspecção Automóvel) and supported by several in-use technical vehicle inspection stakeholders.

AUTOFORE study presented by CITA at the TAC meeting of the European Commission.

CITA was invited to present the outcome of the study made for the European Commission (DGTREN) at their Technical Adaptation Committee meeting held in Brussels on 18 Dec. 2007.
