The 2011 CITA Conference is being hosted by VdTÜV.
VdTÜV - Association of TÜV - has a long tradition dating back to its origins as the federation for steam boiler inspection associations in 1873. Today the work of the federation and its members has grown to encompass nearly all sectors of industry,services and technology in today's society. VdTÜV represents the political and professional interests of its members which themselves represent the main part of the technical service sector in Germany.
Activities
As a non-profit organisation VdTÜV serves the public interest in matters of technology and technological progress. It promotes the third party approach in the fields of consulting, testing, inspection, certification and training in matters of technical safety, quality, environmental protection and cost effectiveness. Further, VdTÜV cooperates in the development of harmonised standards for technical inspection as well as continuing development of high safety standards by providing expertise in the formulation of laws, norms and technical rules.
